[Verse 1]
A cool breeze blew toward us, carrying the sound of waves and revealing the vast blue sky. I sat up and asked him, “Should we go swimming with the snorkel we bought yesterday?” “Okay, that’s a great idea,” he replied. We returned to the shade of the tree.
[Pre-Chorus 1]
We took our goggles, snorkel, and fins out of our bags and quickly warmed up before swimming.
[Chorus 1]
We strapped the fins onto our legs, secured the snorkel to our goggles, and put them on. I asked, “Did you practice the snorkel clear in the bathroom yesterday?” “Yes, I did, over and over,” he said with a bright smile.
[Verse 2]
I inflated a swim ring, attached a string to it, and the other side to my arm. We waded into the water until it reached our chests and walked toward the offshore. I said to him, “Good luck!” He looked at me and asked, “Huh? What do you mean?”
[Pre-Chorus 2]
I winked at him through my goggles, grabbed his hand, and dived right in.
[Chorus 2]
Welcome to the sea world! In the water, it was just you and me. I felt his warmth through his hand. The bottom of the sea was a stretch of golden sand. I felt like a mermaid as my eyes met his. He was alive.
[Instrumental Solo]
[Verse 3]
I stood at the bottom and said to him, “This area is becoming shallow.” He replied, “Oh, really?” and stood up too. “You just suddenly dove in with me,” he added, “So I’m surprised, but your swimming was elegant, like a mermaid, and I was captivated.”
[Pre-Chorus 3]
Far away from the shore, we found ourselves alone, just the two of us in the sea. We looked at each other and asked, “Shall we come back?”
[Chorus 3]
Welcome to the sea world! In the water, it was just you and me. I felt her warmth through her hand. The bottom of the sea was a stretch of golden sand. I felt like a fish as I watched her. She was truly beautiful.
[Instrumental Solo]
